5 Step Construction Process for Building Pole Barns

In Central Colorado, we’ve been building pole barns for horses, houses, storage, and everything else. Would you also like one? If so, how do you start?

Just follow our 5-step construction process. Answer these questions to make it quick and simple. Our designers will help bring every square inch of your dream building to reality.

Getting Started Building Pole Barns

If you are starting to think about what you want in a hobby building, a horse barn, or a commercial pole building, give us a call. Our design and building team can catch you up fast. We can accelerate your decision-making process and show you the options with our multi-dimensional software. You’ll shorten timelines and get a boost. Gather some information.

Step 1: Site Preparation

Building Pole BarnsLet us know if you need help selecting land to purchase. And we can help find the most favorable building sites. We will need to know some details about it, including:

Is the ground level and does it drain well? Will we need to remove trees and rocks? Is there access to the building site by heavy trucks and equipment? Is there enough space to unload building materials and is there already a source of power?

Step 2: Permits and Codes

Building Pole BarnsPole barns, especially larger ones, may require permits and conformity to building codes. We can help you through the legal loopholes. As soon as possible, contact the planning and zoning commission if you have a permit or need one. And/or ask for our assistance.

Step 3: Pole Buildings Purpose and Size

Why are you interested in building pole barns? What will you do there or store there? Hay, equipment, vehicles, workshop, hobbies, work, office? What is the largest item you plan to bring into the building? Is it a huge motorhome?

Step 4: Design the Building

After you gather the foundational information, it’s time to do a rough mockup. We’ve developed design software. And you’ll be able to see the building inside and out.

Do you want a plain metal building or would you like to match nearby architecture? Let’s try on your choice of roof styles, color, and trims. Overhead doors, walk-in doors, windows. Mansards, cupolas, Dutch doors, We’ll add the details you want to let your building have its own personality.
