Colorado Post Frame Hobby Shop for Muscle Cars
This is a beauty of a project! How about a Colorado post frame hobby shop with 11,000 square feet dedicated to your muscle car collection? Sapphire Builds of Castle Rock, Colorado began work on the hobby shop in June and anticipates the owner will be soon filling it with showy vehicles. As this picture sequence shows, the winning exterior is now complete.
Building Process: Colorado Post Frame Hobby Shop
The process began with sessions to determine the needs of the client. Custom design allows the customer to choose types of siding, colors, and every little detail of the building. In addition, the Sapphire Builds team made sure the plans were congruent with legal and association restrictions and requirements.
Then this handsome automotive shop started to become a reality. After the clearing of the land, pouring the foundation and framing it in, the crew put up the walls with good insulation to mitigate Colorado winters.
Sapphire Builds is now completing the custom work on the interior. This automotive shop is meant to be comfortable. In addition to lots of base for those muscle cars, the hobby building will have all the necessary facilities. There will be a nice office as well as a kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. Only serious hobbyists allowed!
What is a muscle car?
Some generations may ask, what is a muscle car? It’s kind of a souped-up hot rod, originally designed for straight-line speed. These days, new interest is moving those cars from being big heavyweights like the 1955 Chrysler C-300 with its 300 horsepower to quieter and more fuel efficient models.
The first muscle car is thought to be the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. Then there was America’s fastest sedan in 1957, the Rambler Rebel with its V-8 engine. The muscle car interest peaked in the 1960s in the era of the Mustang and Camaro. By the 2000s, the Pontiac GTO and Chrysler 300C, Dodge Challenger, and others fit the definition of the “old, powerful and capable” iconic muscle cars in the modern era.
