Colorful Metal Buildings: Make a Statement with Your Choice of Paint
Closer to our big cities, see how many colorful metal buildings don exteriors far beyond the old red barns. They may be any color combination in the rainbow. But there is more to it. The type of paint treatments used will determine the quality of the color over time.
Lester Buildings and Sapphire Construction only use superior Sherwin Williams paint systems. We want our metal buildings to be dressed for the long term. Thanks to our engineers and modern technology, these two paint systems deliver high-quality color. Moreover, we use only the best materials for your low-rise structures.
Paint Colors
Paint changes the personalities of metal buildings. Our clients light up when they see samples of changing color schemes during the design process. The building can mimic the traditional red barn or be dressed in other neutral tones to blend with a residential neighborhood. In today’s world, we often see owners to choosing two or more rich, contrasting colors. For sure, the right colors and durable paint qualities promote the long-lasting beauty we all love.
Paint Qualities
Metal buildings do not absorb regular house paint very well. Environmental conditions such as ultraviolet rays and humidity tend to destroy house paint applied to metal buildings. So, we take extraordinary steps to protect the colors.
How do we achieve maximum paint quality? Lester Buildings has created two paint systems. To create the desired results, we bake the paint onto the metal during the manufacturing process. This provide protection against environmental conditions and general wear and tear.
Superior Sherwin Williams Paint Systems
Lester Buildings offers Weather XL® and Fluropon®, two superior paint systems created by Sherwin Williams. Not only do these paints look great but they outperform the competition. Most of the colors available in these two systems also meet Energy Star’s “Cool Roof” reflectivity standards.
A. Valspar Weather XL® Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP)
The two-coat Weather XL® metal paint system is standard on all exterior panels. The best value, it is durable and provides resistance to scratching, chalking, fading, and weathering. Weather XL® paint system is warrantied for 40 years from Film, 30 years for Chalk and Fade, and 5-10 years for Red Rust.
B. Valspar Fluropon® Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
Valspar Fluropon® is recommended for increased fade protection, especially for dark -colored roofs. The coating is beautiful, long-lasting, and environmentally responsible.
This premium paint system is warrantied for 35 years or Film, and 30 years for Chalk and Fade as well as 5 years for Red Rust.
Lester Buildings Paint Warranties
Our paint systems come with outstanding warranties by Lester Buildings to cover specific paint issues.
- Film Integrity: Paint that pulled away from the surface. This includes peeling, cracking, and checking.
- Chalk: Weather causes a breaking down of the paint resin leaving behind a chalk-like powder.
- Fade: Fade happens when paint color changes over time. It can turn lighter or darker.
- Red Rust: If the galvanizing layer fails, rust can form on the cut edges.
So, go ahead and make a statement with our colorful metal buildings. You’ll be happy for the long run.
