Elaborate Horse Facility by Lester Building Systems Truly Fit for Champions
Fit for an AQHA champion, this elaborate horse facility by Lester Building Systems is a delightful example of pole barn magic. The horse-loving owners and Lester’s designers worked together to pull off the stately new stables and accompanying arena.
Brian Cox shows horses across the nation a few weekends every month. He is one of the top-20 open riders in the USA. The stables offer a glimpse into the couple’s interests. Brian’s business side includes 10 stables for client horses. The family side, or Maggie’s side, features six stables for personal horses.
Coloradoans May Love Features of Ohio Horse Facility
Brian Cox, nationally known rider on the Western Pleasure circuit, and his wife rider Maggie Kerola Cox fashioned their equestrian bonanza to support their business. The couple did their homework. They pulled together selections for design, layout, colors, and materials.
Architect J. Greer Hayden of HHSDR of Sharon, Pennsylvania pulled it all together into a workable plan. Local Lester Buildings dealer, Witmer’s Construction Company of Salem, Ohio joined the team. They brought the Coxes concepts to life using IMPROV® software.
Brian Cox Quarter Horses is housed in this pole building complex. The National Frame Building Association awarded it first place in the 2017 Masters Division competition. To protect people and horses from the variable weather in Ohio, the entire building was insulated and is climate controlled.
Details of Award-Winning Horse Complex
This spectacular finished equestrian complex incorporates a 10,400 square foot indoor riding arena, a 4200 square foot barn, a covered entrance, and an office area. There is a 16- foot arena viewing window for clients and guests. The facilities also include sleeping quarters and the kitchen.
Theirs is the impeccable taste of the experienced riders who have seen horse facilities around the nation. At 15 months to completion, the gorgeous post frame building took longer than most projects. The owners chose fine finishes and details. Extras include a drive through canopy, wraparound porches, stone veneers, and rough-sawn woods and wrapped beams. Colors keep the building grounded with Rawhide and Earth Brown.
The finished facility happens to be the pride and joy of the entire team at Lester Building Systems. And it overlooks a lovely illuminated pond with a bubbling fountain in the center.
