Santa, Let’s Build a Home for the Holidays
Make it a cabin or a house in the woods. But, please, Santa, build a home for our holidays. Make it strong and comfortable–a new Colorado home to fit our lifestyle. I’d like to incorporate a bunkhouse or loft. Plus, we will need space for our RV and all the gear we’ve been collecting. I hope a double garage would accommodate everything.
How to Build a Home for Family Gatherings
We’ll invite our families to spend the holidays in Colorado. Summer or winter, there’s always something fun to do here. As we searched through the metal barn homes on the Lester Buildings website, each one gave me ideas. The Montana cabin (Project #611368) would make a fine guesthouse. One Minnesota barndominium could fit right in with the Elbert County farmlands.
And I do like the big metal house in the cleared woods (Project #622067). Can we afford to build a bigger home like that elegant metal house?
Barndominiums for Me
I’m looking at Project #626222 in New York. It’s a shouse or barndominium. We need a similar tall overhead garage for RV storage and we could use a loft and a mezzanine. This place measures 40 feet by 60 feet by 16 feet and I love the wrap around porch for outdoor living.
The colors of caps snow cap white and the black roof create contrast, a farmhouse effect. The home itself offers 15130 square feet and there’s a shop with a bathroom in this barn dominium. We could design our own layout. Then, how about the 36 x 56 barndominium, Project #625776, with a brick finish. Brick could be a good insulator, right?
Contractors to Build a Home for Me
On the Lester Buildings website, it shows Sapphire Construction in Castle Rock as a local independent building contractor that could help us here in Douglas County, Colorado. Allen Randa, the owner, has built nice horse barns and indoor horse arenas in Douglas County. Let’s see if he can help Mrs. Claus now so we can be ready by the Fourth of July.
